It is important that you always feel secure when providing your personal data to us. Our obligations comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data Controller

Lyssnare Utan Gränser (henceforth referred to as “LwB” or “Listeners without Borders”) is the data controller according to the Personal Data Act (1998:204) for the processing of personal data.

When is Personal Data Processed?

LwB processes your personal data when you:

  • Subscribe to our newsletter service
  • Register to participate in our lectures and webinars
  • Apply for available positions or express interest in employment with us
  • Seek contact with us in general
  • Participate in surveys

You can read Google’s privacy policy and their terms.

Some of LwB’s services are provided on our sponsoring partner Emotional Fitness Sweden’s platform. You can read Emotional Fitness Sweden’s Emotional Fitness Sweden’s privacy policy and their Emotional Fitness Sweden’s terms.

Registered Data

When individuals or representatives of a company place orders and registrations, the following may be recorded:

  • Name of the company’s contact persons
  • Their position
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses

LwB strives not to register personal identification numbers and sensitive personal data such as information about race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, and sexual life. If you provide such information yourself, for example, to participate in an event or community targeted at individuals based on some sensitive personal data, we assume that you want the data to be recorded by us.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

When you register for our events, order publications or newsletters via our website, by phone, or by letter, you become a customer of ours. The personal data you provide is recorded in our client register and used for the administration of the ordered services and products. The data may also be used for marketing purposes and for the follow-up and development of LwB’s service offerings.

When you apply for available positions, submit interest inquiries regarding employment with us, participate in surveys, and provide data for “benchmarking” or want to be contacted by us, we use your personal data only for the purpose for which you provided it.

Disclosure of Personal Data

For orders and registrations, the information recorded in the client register may be disclosed to third parties, i.e., persons or companies outside LwB, to the extent required to administer participation in an event or to execute the order. This also applies when you apply for available positions, submit interest inquiries regarding employment with us, participate in surveys, and provide data for “benchmarking” or want to be contacted by us. They may also be disclosed to third parties if you consent to this, for example, to refer you to valuable contacts.

Additionally, your personal data may be stored in the cloud with LwB’s IT service providers, such as Google and Emotional Fitness Sweden AB. Some of these data centers are located outside the EU/EEA area, and your personal data may therefore also be stored there.

In all the above-mentioned situations, LwB is the data controller, and the suppliers LwB uses are data processors. Data processors are obliged to follow LwB’s instructions and are not entitled to disclose your personal data to anyone else or use it for purposes other than those covered by LwB’s instructions. Data processors are also required to take certain technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Finally, personal data may also be disclosed if required by law, regulation, or government decision.

How Long is the Data Retained?

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our obligations, i.e., to provide the service, product, lecture, invoice, handle complaints, etc. If you are a customer and have consented to your contact details being used for marketing purposes, they will remain until you wish for the data to be removed.

Register Extracts and Corrections

You have the right to receive information once a year, free of charge, about which personal data about you is processed by Advertiser. You should request this in writing to the data protection officer. If you believe that any information about you is incorrect or misleading, you can contact the data protection officer and request a correction in writing.
